Liverpool - John Lennon Intl (LPL): Location: 11 km/7 Miles SE of the City centre. Airport Overview: A single terminal with 3 bus stops right outside. By Taxi: To Liverpool city centre £11-15/15-45 mins, Blackpool ~£90, Bolton ~£56, Chester ~£43, Manchester ~£55, St Helens ~£24, Wigan ~£45 & Ellesmere Port ~£37.

By Bus:

Airport Express Bus#500 Provides a fast, regular and efficient way to get to and from the city cenre. Tel 0870 608 2 608.

Route: Airport (bus stop 1 right outside the terminal) - Estuary Commerce Park (0617-1947 only) - James Street Train Station - Paradise Street Bus Station (Bay #8) - Queen Square Bus Station - National Express Coach Station - Lime Street Train Station (out the station, down the steps, turn right onto Lime Street Opp St George's Hall) - Adelphi Hotel - Marriott Hotel - Liverpool Thistle Hotel - Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Timings: Buses leave the airport every day from 0515-0015 at 15 & 45 mins past every hour. Buses leave Lime street station 0600-0100 on the hour and the half hour. Buses leave Paradise St Bus Station 0608-0108 at 08 & 38 mins past the hour.

Cost: Adult one way £2 or €4, Child £1/€2. Family tickets £5/€10. Tickets cost £1.80 one way or return if bought in conjunction with a rail ticket to of from a Liverpool Station. Takes 35 mins to the city.

Arriva Bus 80A A slower bus running into the city, connecting to train services at Garston, and serving Allerton, Toxteth, Mossley Hill & Wavertree. At certain times, this bus is replaced by Bus 180.

Route: Airport - Estuary Business Park - Speke Central Ave - Woodend Ave - Windfield Rd - Garston Cenotaph - Garston Train Station - Penny Lane - Princes Park Gardens - Renshaw St - Paradise St Bus Station in the city centre.

Timings: Leaves the airport Mon-Fri 0605, 0620, 0635, 0650, 0659 and then at 14, 29 44 & 59 mins past each hour until 1729, 1802, 1832, 1904, 1934 and then at 04 & 34 past each hour until 2304. Leaves the airport on Saturdays at 0759, then at 14, 29, 44 & 59 mins past each hour until 1729, 1804, 1834, then at 04 & 34 mins past each hour until 2304. Leaves the airport on Sundays at 0934 then at 04 & 34 mins past the hour 2304. Leaves the bus station on Sundays at 1009 and at 09 & 39 mins after each hour until 2339. Leaves the bus station in the city Mon-Fri 0636-2339, and on Saturdays 0736-2339. Takes 50 mins to get to the city centre. Cost £1.20.

Arriva Bus 180 Runs a similar route to the 80A above.

Route: Airport - Woodend Ave - Windfield Rd - Garston Cenotaph - Garston Train Station - Penny Lane - Princes Park Gardens - Renshaw St - Paradise St Bus Station in the city centre.

Timings: Leaves the airport Mon-Fri at 0541. Leaves the airport on Saturdays at 0541, 0611, 0641, 0701 & 0731. Leaves the airport on Sundays at 0704 and at 04 & 34 mins past each hour until 0904. Leaves the bus station on Sundays at 0749, 0819, 0849, 0919 & 0949. Takes 45 mins to get to the city centre. Cost £1.20.

Mersey Travel Bus 886 Runs on the route Halewood - Airport - Garston (connect here for trains). Route: Halewood (Ravenscourt Bus Facility) - Ford Jaguar Factory - Speke - Airport - Estuary Business Park - New Mersey Retail Park - Garston Station. Timings: Runs every day. Leaves the airport heading for Garston at 0722 and then every 30 mins until 1852. Leaves the airport heading for Halewood at 0716 and then every 30 mins until 1846. Buses leave Garston Station and Halewood every 30 mins 0705-1835. Cost £1.20. To Garston 12 mins, to Halewood 18 mins.

Mersey Travel Buses 89 Runs on the route Airport - Speke - Hunts Cross Train Station (connect for trains to Liverpool & Manchester) - Woolton - Gateacre - Belle Vale - Netherley - Naylorsfield - Huyton Station - Prescot - Whiston - Portico - St Helens Bus Station. Timings: Leaves the airport Mon-Sat 071-, 0740, 0810, 0830, 0850 then at 10, 30 & 50 mins past the hour until 1810, 1835, 1905, then every 30 mins until 2305. Leaves the airport on Sundays every 30 mins 1005-2305. Buses leave St Helens Bus station Mon-Sat 0710-2320. Sundays every 30 mins 0950-2320. To St Helens 1 hour 15 mins. Cost £1.20.

Mersey Travel Buses 89 Runs on the same route as the 89 above, but extends to Garston Station. Buses leave St Helens Bus station Mon-Sat 0540, 0610 & 0640. No Sunday Service. To St Helens 1 hour 15 mins. Cost £1.20.

Mersey Travel Buses 81A Runs on the route: Airport - Hunts Cross Station - Woolton Village - Gateacre - Childwall - Old Swan - Walton - Bootle Bus Station. Buses leave the airport Mon-Fri 0547, 0609, 0639, 0657 and then every 10 mins until 1727 then every 30 mins or so until 2106. Saturdays: 0757 then every 30 mins until 1757 then every 30 mins or so until 2106. Sundays: every 30 mins 0913-2113. Outside these times bus 181 runs. To Bootle £1.20/1 hour.

Mersey Travel Buses 181 Runs on a similar route to 81A, but also calls at Speke. Leaves the airport Mon-Fri every 30 mins 2136-2306. Saturdays every 30 mins 0548-0708 and every 309 mins 2136-2306. Sundays every 30 mins 0652-0852 and 2143-2313. £1.20.

Arriva Buses 82A & 82B Route: Paradise St Bus Station - Toxteth - Aigburth - Garston - Airport - Speke - Widnes - Runcorn Bus Station - Halton Hospital - Murdishaw (not all buses). Timings: Run roughly every 30 mins 0630-1950.

Halton Bus 112 Runs: Airport - Speke - Hale Village - Halebank - Widnes (Vicarage Rd). Runs only on bank holidays every 30-60 mins 1200-midnight.

Joblink Bus 883 Route: Airport - Estuary Business Park - Fords Jaguar factory - Woodend Ave - Hunts Cross Hotel - Halewood (Ravenscourt Bus Facility) - Netherley - Belle Vale - Huyton Bus Station - Huyton Industrial Estate. Leaves the airport Mon-Fri every hour 0433-2233 except no services at 0933, 1033 or 1133. Cost 50p.

National Express run coaches to and from Liverpool coach station on Norton Street in the city centre to points all over the UK. Use the 500 bus to get there.

By Train:
Although there is no station at the airport, there are 3 options for train travel from this airport:
Via Liverpool Lime Street	The Airport Express 500 bus runs every 30 mins (see bus section above) to Liverpool Lime Street station in the city centre. Transfer time 35 mins. This is Liverpool's main station, and from here, connections are possible to the rest of the UK.
Via Hunts Cross	Buses 81A & 89 run to Hunts Cross station. Transfer time 10-15 mins. This is a very small station, with fewer trains, but trains do run to Manchester - Oxford Road (takes ~45 mins), and to Liverpool Lime Street and Southport. Change at Oxford Road for trains to Manchester Airport (Total transfer airport to airport 1 hour 40/£10.20).
Via Garston	Buses 886 & 80 run to Garston train station for local services to Liverpool Lime St, Bootle & Southport. Trains leave Garston for Liverpool Lime St Mon-Fri at 0559, 0640, 0710, 0725, 0740, 0755 & then every 15 mins until 1940. Saturdays at 0607, 0640, 0710, 0725, 0740, 0755 & then every 15 mins until 1940. Sundays every 30 mins 0810-2310.

Airport to Airport: To Manchester Airport: By Taxi ~£55/30-50 mins. By Bus & Train: Take the bus to Hunts Cross or Lime Street Station and take the train from there to Manchester Airport train station.
