Los Angeles Intl (LAX):  Location24 km/15 Miles SW of the City Centre, 51 km/32 Miles NW of Anaheim & 16 km/10 miles S of West Hollywood.
Ground transport at LAX is organised according to couloured signs hanging from the ceiling outside the arrivals level of each terminal. For example LAX shuttle bus C to the bus transit center leaves from under the blue sign, and the LAX Shuttle A Bus connecting the terminals leaves from under the white sign.
By Taxi: To Downtown $30/30-35 mins, To Santa Monica $20, To Disneyland $70, To Hollywood $30, To Beverly Hills $24, to Redondo Beach $22/20-25 mins. Beverly Hills Cab Co (310) 273 6611 & L.A. Taxi/United Checker Cab  (213) 627 7000, (310) 715 1968.
By Bus:
Free MTA connector bus stops at each terminal every 10-20 mins and drops at Lot C of LAX transit center at 96th St/Vicksburg Ave. Connect here for bus services all over the LA area. Including:
Big Blue Bus 310 451 5444 Bus No3 runs along Lincoln Ave to Marina del Rey and Santa Monica, and then up Montana Ave to Brentwood, terminating at the UCLA Transit Center. Runs weekdays ~every 10 mins 0540-0010, Sat ~every 20 mins 0630-2346 & Sun ~every 30 mins 0716-0010.  $0.75 (disabled and seniors $0.25). To Santa Monica 35 mins.
Metro Bus #439 1 800 COMMUTE Runs from Redondo Beach (Palos Perdes/Via Valencia & Catalina/Torrance), Hermosa Beach (Hermosa/10th), Manhattan Beach (Highland/14th), El Segundo (Main/Holly), Aviation/I-105, LAX City Bus Center, West Chester (Howard Hughes Center), Culver City (Fox Hills Malls Transit Center) & Green Valley/Doverwood, WLA Transit Center, Los Angeles (Figueroa/7th & Patsaouras Transit Plaza). Runs ~0500-2200 Mon-Fri every 30-60 mins. Less frequently at weekends.
Airport Bus (800) 772-5299 to Anaheim (for Disneyland) and to Buena Park .
Airport Bus of Bakersfield (800) 858-5000 to Bakersfield in about 2:30 for $27. Departs the airport at 1000, 1300, 1600, 1830, 2030, 2230 & 0030.
Antelope Valley Airport Express (800) 251 2529 (805) 945 2529 to Newhall, Palmdale and Lancaster in the Antelope Valley for $38. Departs airport at 0700, 1100, 1300, 1500, 1700, 1930 & 2200.
Central Coast Shuttle Call toll free 1-800-470-8818 or 805-928-1977. Runs to Santa Maria & Buelton. It picks up under the green sign where it says buses and long distance vans. It departs LAX at 0900, 1201, 1500, 1900 and 2200. Price one way to Santa Maria is $65. They also drop off in Ventura, Santa Barbara, Buellton, Solvang area, Santa Maria. Driving time to Santa Maria or Bueltton about 3.5hrs. In adition to the above, they run luxury mini-buses.
Flyaway Van Nuys   Runs to Woodley Ave at Saticoy St. $3.50 $6 round trip. Every 30 mins 0530-2400, with some extra frequencies too.
Santa Barbara Airbus   To Carpenteria, Santa Barbara & Goleta for $40. Departs at 0800, 1030, 1300, 1530, 1800, 2030 & 2300. Takes up to 2 hrs.
Metropolitan Express (310) 417 5050  (800) 338 3898 to downtown Los Angeles & Union Station
Ventura County Airporter (805) 650-6600 to Ventura and Oxnard Airport. Departs at 0630, 0830, 1100, 1300, 1515, 1730, 1930 & 2130 (except Saturdays)
Note for travelers: All inbound buses & vans, and the LAX shuttles, unload on the Upper/Departure Level. Frequent, free shuttle service is provided between terminals (~every 12 to 15 mins) to get from one terminal to another. To use this service, board the Airline Connections "A" Shuttle under the LAX Shuttle & Airline Connections blue sign on the Lower/Arrival Level islands in front of each terminal.


By Shuttle Van:
These vans pick up on the Lower/Arrival Level islands in front of each terminal under the orange sign Shared Ride Vans.
Super Shuttle 310 782 6600 To Beverly Hills $17-24, Downtown $10-17,  Santa Monica $12-19, Hollywood $16-24.
Metro Shuttle 310 471 5050  
Inland Express (909) 626 6599 runs to Riverside & San Bernardino Counties. Takes up to 90 mins.
Roadrunner Shuttle   runs to Simi Valley (~71 km/44 miles NW of the airport), and to Ventura & Santa Barbara Counties.
Express Shuttle (800) I ARRIVE or (310) 323 7222  
Prime Time Shuttle 1 800 262 7433 Serves LA, Orange County, Santa Barbara & Ventura.
Airport bus 1 714 938 8937 to Anaheim (for Disneyland) leaves the airport at hourly intervals 0600-2400. Travel time 45 mins. Reservations are required. Adults $16 one way ($25 return) Children $9 & $16.
Mickey's Space Ship Shuttle (866) 642 5391 Serves Anaheim and the Disney Area. $15 adult one-way.
By Train: LAX Shuttle bus G to Metro Rail green line station for rail service to Redondo Beach, and connections to downtown, Union Station, Hollywood, Anaheim and the San Fernando Valley. $1.35. Leaves from under the green sign.  Airport to Airport: To Orange County Airport: Airport bus service. 110 mins. Taxi $20. To Long Beach Airport: Bus 30-65 mins. To Palm Springs Airport: Coach available. To Ontario Airport: Coach $6-10/35 mins. Shuttle van $25. To Burbank Airport: taxi $29. To Van Nuys Airport: Van Nuys FlyAway Bus runs 24hrs to Van Nuys Airport 0445-0800 every 15 mins, 0800-0100 every 30 mins. It leaves Terminal 1 and picks up at the Buses & Long Distance Vans (Green sign) on the lower level.  
Rental Cars: ADVANTAGE, ALAMO, AVIS, HERTZ, Enterprise, Budget, Dollar, National, Thrifty  & PAYLESS. These companies meet arriving customers under the purple sign Rental Car Shuttles on the Lower/Arrival level islands outside baggage claim. There are many other off-airport car rental companies that will collect you on demand. The Shuttle bus to the long term lot leaves from under the Blue sign.  Airline Locations: Term1: America West, SW and US Airways. Term2: Air canada, China, New Zealand, Hawaiian, KLM, NW, & Virgin.
